BUST DOWN THE DOOR AGAIN!

While doing some research for another project I stumbled upon the Young-Hae Chang Heavy Industries. This duo is made up of digital artists Young-Hae Chang and Marc Voge. Currently these two reside in Seoul. The medium they use is flash animation, making text fly across your monitor to the beat of original jazz music. The jazz music is original, and the stories that go across the screen are not only original, but also funny, freaky, and always thought provoking. 

What I like most about these digital works is the idea of composing the stories written on the screen in my head. The pace of the text varies which keeps my eyes interested, I don't know, I just don't want to look away.

One work that I found interesting though, was BUST DOWN THE DOOR AGAIN! GATES OF HELL- VICTORIA VERSION which is a first person story talking about being brought out into the streets by figures in the night, it makes you feel slightly uneasy. This piece is actually a remix of BUST DOWN THE DOORS! While the stories are the same, the remix is different because of the music and text pace, as well as the background is a shot of the gallery that BUST DOWN THE DOORS! was displayed....on nine internet refrigerators.
