Bold. Simple. I don't think there is any font that has stayed as modern as Helvetica.
I'm not sure why I like fonts so much, but I do know that Helvetica by far is my favorite.
I found this poster while surfing the web and thought it would be a fun post, and it served as a reminder of AWESOME Helvetica really is. I mean, who couldn't appreciate this piece?

PETER CHRISTENSON MADE ME DO THIS UPDATE
PETER CHRISTENSON MADE ME DO THIS
I decided to go peruse my local WalMart after filming my project there (link above) only to find that all my photos had been taken out of the frames. I guess, however, that is only my assumption; It's possible that the frames were also purchased and taken to homes where my photography of WalMart inhabitants is now on display on a mantle amongst other photos.

Project OneRollFifty2
Thought this was a really cool concept, probably not the most original, but it is awesome to see what photographer Travis Lawson shot. The idea for his project was to shoot one roll of film per week, for one year (Hence the title of the project). The link has a video and some of the photos Travis took, who ended up shooting 6 different cameras, 1,500 frames, and over $1.000 worth of equipment.

Denim Art
I thought this was a very creative use of denim, a medium that I would have never thought of using for art. Kumi Yamashita created released these two new works she created. The first one, titled Mana #2 is part of a Constellation series. This picture is created using a single denim colored piece of thread that is wrapped around hundreds of galvanized nails in a pattern to create a child's face. The second, is titled Mother #2 in which Kumi has taken a black piece of denim and cut pieces away until she has her portrait. Not only can one appreciate how much time these must have both taken to make, but also appreciate how visually stimulating they are.

Please don't think I'm a creep
So browsing the internet for some information for a project, I came across these really interesting Infographics. Now...they have to do with porn. I know I know, not really art, but I thought what was really interesting hearing how the information about pornography is broken down.
The man behind the study is John Millward. John decided to research the adult industry and find out information about 10,000 female pornstars. The stats include hair color, what the ideal female star would look like, and the states and countries in which most porn is made.
Again, a little creepy and possibly a little inappropriate, but whatever. I feel that is ties into a project I worked on for class where we were to make some kind of a map (mind map, daily activity map, a literal map, etc.) and while the subject matter might be off-putting to some, I think that it is presented in a mature manner...other than the title..which is "Deep Inside"
Deep Inside Article here. <----May not be safe for work.
