Real Life Photoshop?

I really got a kick out of this! Flora Borsi, Hungarian photographer, decided to create some images of what photoshop would be like in real-life. I love the idea of applying photo editing features to our outer appearances.

Could you imagine applying the 'convert to smart object' the morning before a test?

Or if you're feeling blue, decide to 'saturate' your life with a touch of happiness?

Don't like the way you look? Apply transformations to your appearance until you get what you like!

Obviously untrue, I love how the idea behind this collection pokes fun at the constant stress people have about their looks. Everyone has flaws, it's nice to poke fun at them once in a while.

The Outer Child

L'ENFANT EXTERIEUR or The Outer Child, by artist Cristian Girotto is one that shows what each adult really has inside...an bubbly little kid. I love photography, and the bright, crisp colors were what really caught my eye. At first, I went right into looking at these photos, not paying attention to any of the text, wondering  Why the hell do all these people look so f$%@ing weird? BUT, actually reading the text...made complete sense! Thought I would share these awesome images.

Why are we so tired?

After going to a recent conference for student government, our group had the chance to listen to some slam poetry....AWESOME! I found a new fascination with this style of poetry. Lauren Zuniga, one of the poets we watched, performed her poem Energy Drinks which talks about her experience approaching the energy drink fridge. The more important question about her poem is "Why are we so tired?"

Since I'm an avid energy drink consumer, I found this poem to really get me thinking, Why am I so tired?
